The Italian Christmas Bazaar is an annual fair which gives the London public wonderful access to a huge range of Italian products, most of them difficult to find in London, and to a selection of International goods, all of the highest quality and competitively priced. The Bazaar is a truly enjoyable event that takes place in the historic Chelsea Town Hall, King's Road, in the heart of London. This year vendors will have the chance to show their products on Tuesday, 9th November, so well ahead of most of the traditional London Christmas shopping.The general public can enjoy the Bazaar from 10.00 am to 6pm and the wife of the Italian Ambassador in London usually opens the event. The Bazaar is followed by a cocktail reception (ticket only) from 6.30 to 9.30 pm which will include a brief musical intermezzo performed by some of Il Circolo's scholars and the presence of some leading Italian personalities.
This is the 11th Il Circolo Italian Christmas Bazaar which over the past few years has attracted an average of 1,500 visitors and over 60 vendors each time. In 2009, Mara Carfagna, the Italian Minister for Equal Opportunities, visited the Bazaar and was able to see for herself the wide range of high quality products.
The Bazaar Committee is made up of a group of entrepreneurial Il Circolo's members, who have lived in London for a long time and have volunteered to promote exclusive Italian craftmanship and high quality gastronomic products. With the support of Il Circolo's members , the Bazaar has become one of the most successful an eagerly awaited events in the London winter calendar.
