Join Il Circolo at the Tower Theatre to see “The Fan” by Carlo Goldoni, a Venetian playwright from the 18th century. The comedy is adapted and translated by G. Ritter and Helen Zimmern. Directed by Flavia Di Saverio.
Goldoni wrote The Fan, a masterwork of theatrical rhythm, in Paris in 1765. The focus of the comedy is an object: a fan, meant to be a present from a gentleman to the young lady he is secretly in love with. The disappearance of the object unleashes a chain reaction of misunderstandings, jealousy, suspicion, and gossip in a small holiday village where the gentleman and the young lady are spending their holidays.
The Tower Theatre will kindly donate £2 for each purchased ticket. To become part of Il Circolo community click here.
