Il Circolo London, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in London, is pleased to present the book launch of Il Cavaliere Artificiale, written by Andrea Prencipe and Massimo Sideri and published by Luiss University Press.
Andrea Prencipe and Massimo Sideri are two Italian academics and authors who co-authored books exploring innovation and technology, such as The Grammar of Innovation and Il Cavaliere Artificiale.
The book revisits Italo Calvino’s 1960s insightful notion of “jealous human traits” – those stubbornly human capacities made newly urgent in the age of AI. The book explores essential human identity, mutable memory, the boundaries between self and other/other and the human/machine, as well as cognition, thresholds of attention, and our complex imagination.
