Join us for the presentation of “Arrivederci Londra” by Enrico Franceschini, in conversation with Marco Varvello.
Set in London during Brexit, the novel follows a group of European journalists who have long considered the city their home. When the referendum result shatters that sense of belonging, disappointment turns into anger and eventually into a surreal, provocative plan for revenge.
Blending dark comedy and mystery, Arrivederci Londra explores identity, belonging, and the fractures opened by Brexit with irony and sharp insight.
With its semi-serious and provocative tone, the novel offers a thoughtful reflection on the chapter that divided Europe in 2016, inviting readers to consider the hope that, as an old joke suggests, the fog over the English Channel will not forever isolate England.
On this occasion, Il Circolo will offer copies of Arrivederci Londra signed by the author, with proceeds supporting the Il Circolo Awards,.
We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of literature and conversation.
