Prof. Angelo Maggi is an associate professor of Architectural History, History of Photography and History of Architectural Photography at Università Iuav di Venezia. He earned his PhD in Architecture and Visual Studies at the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA).
His teaching in Italy and abroad and his recent work have revolved around the study of architectural photography, analysing themes relative to representation understood as a tool of architectural history investigations. He has been a full member of the PhDSchool in History of the Arts (Ca’Foscari University Venice) since 2010, and he is acting as Vice-RectorIUAV for International Relations.
The ‘Whispers of Nature: The Allure of the Trulli of the Murgia region’ talks about the charming typical houses in Puglia, traditional dry-stone houses featuring distinctive cone-shaped roofs.
