Il Circolo Art Club is proud to organise a guided tour with Alberto Bragho’ at the exhibition “Impressionists on Paper” at the Royal Academy of Art.
The meeting point is at the exhibition entrance in Burlington Gardens, in front of Cecconi restaurant, at 10.50 am. We recommend buying your ticket to the exhibition in advance on the RA website. Here is the link: https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibition/impressionists-on-paper.
You might recognise paintings of Degas, Cézanne, Morisot, and Van Gogh, but this ground-breaking exhibition focuses on their radical works on paper. Edgar Degas noted that drawing does not represent what the artist sees but what the artist wishes others to see. In works on paper, art loses its aspect of imitating nature, and replaces it with an attitude of experimentation, of idea, both in subjects and technique, resulting in engaging the viewer in both senses and intellect. The Royal Academy exhibition proves both the evolution and the protest of the Impressionists well.
